Security definition:
Security is the condition of being protected against danger or loss. In the general sense, security is a concept similar to safety. The nuance between the two is an added emphasis on being protected from from dangers that originate from outside. Individuals or actions that encroach upon the condition of protection are responsible for the breach of security.
Awareness definition:
Awareness means being acquainted with, mindful of, conscious that and well informed of a specific subject, and thus implies knowing and understanding a subject and acting accordingly.
In other words, one could say that the definition of security awareness means being alert against actions and dangers that can disturb or harm our security and safety and put us at risk.

Since ancient times, men have provided protection for others either for financial reward or for reasons of duty. The job of providing personal protection used to mainly be the duty of soldiers, but it became a duty for law enforcement officers and later became a private security industry field of expertise as well. This profession has existed since the beginning of time, and the need for this type of service has perhaps become even more necessary in the modern world. Historically, one could generalize and say that the ones who needed protection in the past were mainly royalty, heads of state, military leaders and government officials. The reason for their protection was connected to conflicts, either in their own country or as an effect of war with other nations. Today it is not only these target groups that are in need of protection. The global situation today is that there are many  people wiling to resort to violence and terrorism in order to obtain their goals, and they have expanded their target groups to include many more than just those listed above. Today, one can be targeted for many reasons but mainly because of:
  1. Who they are
  2. Who they represent
  3. What they represent
  4. Where they work
  5. Decisions made and not made
This means that there exists a need to protect all kinds of people that for some reason have become a target. It could be that they are royalty, diplomats, military leaders, celebrities, executives, prominent individuals or just normal civilian people who happen to work for a targeted institution, organization or company. So why not learn how to be the bodyguard of yourself and your family ?

“In order to achieve you must place yourself in your opponent skin. If you do not understand yourself, you will lose one hundred percent of the time. If you understand yourself, you will win fifty percent of the time. If you understand yourself and your opponent, you will win one hundred percent of the time.”

Would you be able to defend yourself and your loved ones if someone were to physically attack you? It’s a question most of us don’t want to consider, but violence is, unfortunately, a fact of life. Thankfully, regardless of strength, size, or previous training, anyone can learn our Intelligent self-defense techniques.

What is Self Defense?
Self-defense is defined as the right to prevent suffering force or violence through the use of a sufficient level of counteracting force or violence. This definition is simple enough on its face, but it raises many questions when applied to actual situations. For instance, what is a sufficient level of force or violence when defending oneself? What goes beyond that level? What if the intended victim provoked the attack? Do victims have to retreat from the violence if possible? What happens when victims reasonably perceive a threat even if the threat doesn’t actually exist? What about when the victim’s apprehension is subjectively genuine, but objectively unreasonable?
As you can see, self-defense is more complicated than it first appears. These are the reasons that make a big difference between Martial Arts styles and Self Defense styles , because in Martial Arts they do not teach you how to use a sufficient level of counteracting force  against an attack or threat. In fact all the Martial-Art’s techniques are aggressive, destructive and deadly which nobody can apply it on the street because of the outcome of it. Therefore we must execute types of techniques to control our opponents rather than hurting or killing them. Moreover they do not teach you how to protect yourself , they only teach you how to fight. In addition, the students need to know that there is a variety of  styles of Self Defense in the world and the students must make a sure to choose the right and the best style of Self-Defense by doing their research .Yet by choosing the wrong style or instructor they will be risking their lives and safety more than before.

Common Types Of Offense:
Assault
An assault is committed when one person: 1) tries to or does physically strike another, or 2) acts in a threatening manner to put another in fear of immediate harm. Many researchers declare that a more serious or “aggravated” assault occurs when one: 1) tries to or does cause severe injury to another, or 2) causes injury through use of a deadly weapon.

Kidnapping
Kidnapping is a crime where the victim is transported a substantial distance or held in a place of isolation through the use of force. Kidnapping statutes also define a set of purposes for kidnapping including: collecting ransom, facilitating the commission of a felony, inflicting bodily injury, or terrorizing someone.

Raping
Rape is a type of sexual assault usually involving sexual intercourse or other forms of sexual penetration carried out against a person without that person’s consent. The act may be carried out by physical force, coercion, abuse of authority or against a person who is incapable of giving valid consent, such as one who is unconscious, incapacitated, has an intellectual disability or is below the legal age of consent. The term rape is sometimes used interchangeably with the term sexual assault

Hostage
A hostage is a person who is held captive against his or her will. Hostages are often taken (held captive) to force someone else to do something for their captors(the people who took them hostage). Hostages are taken for many different reasons.

Robbery
A robbery is the act of stealing from a person using violence or by causing fear of violence. A person who commits robbery is a robber. A person who steals without using violence or fear (such as stealing items from a store, or pick pocketing, or car theft), commits theft, not robbery.

Burglary
Burglary (also called breaking and entering and sometimes housebreaking) is an unlawful entry into a building or other location for the purposes of committing an offense. Usually that offense is theft, but most jurisdictions include others within the ambit of burglary.

  Child Abduction
Child abduction is the abduction or kidnapping of a child (or baby) by an older person. Several distinct forms of child abduction exist: i) A stranger removes a child for criminal purposes: for child sexual abuse, torture, or murder, for extortion, to elicit a ransom from the child’s caretakers. ii) A stranger removes a child, usually a baby, with the intent to rear the child as their own. iii) A parent removes or retains a child from the other parent’s care (often in the course of or after divorce proceedings).
